Pflugerville, TX - March 15, 2011 - Voices in the Clouds, a documentary film project supported by the ATAYAL Organization, was selected to be screened at the 2011 Urban Nomad Film Festival in Taiwan. The festival organizer, David Frazier, made the invitation. The film festival will take place in the capital city of Taipei. This festival does not receive government funds, so it is a truly independent venue to show independent films from Taiwan. This film festival focuses on films produced by Taiwanese filmmakers, but will include a few films from other countries.
"This invitation is very meaningful to me, because it is the first time I can show this film in my mother's homeland." stated Tony Coolidge.
Voices in the Clouds is a documentary film which features Tony Coolidge's discovery of his mother's disappearing indigenous heritage in Taiwan, and reminds its viewers of the importance of connecting with the culture of their ancestors before it is too late. The film's selection into the 2011 Urban Nomad Film Festival will allow Tony Coolidge to showcase the film project to many friends and family in Taiwan for the first time and to build a stepping stone to his future projects in Taiwan.
